Twinmotion Community Challenge #8: ‘Room with a View’

Enter our contest for the opportunity to showcase your art worldwide and for the chance to win $500. This month, we’re looking for dynamic archviz renders of an interior scene with an exterior view.

It’s time to unleash your creativity and think outside of the box, with our new Twinmotion Community Challenge now open for submissions. This time around, we’d like you to create visualizations of compelling spaces that show an interior with an exterior view.

With so many of us having to be holed up inside our own homes at the moment, you may already have the perfect reference to draw upon! But you don’t have to limit yourself to your home and any surrounding views or exterior; your scene could be located anywhere in the world, and could be any interior you can think of.

You could opt to create a render of a sparkling kitchen interior with a neat garden patio laid out back, a hotel spa with an infinity pool beyond, or a huge office space with looming skyscrapers—the sky’s the limit!
Whatever you choose to create, it must be just a single render, created solely using Twinmotion. As usual, a cash prize of $500 will be awarded for the best scene.

You can submit your entry via social media; the best will be showcased on Twinmotion’s own social media channels. What’s more, for this Community Challenge, we’ve teamed up with ArtStation, so you can submit your images there now too! Plus, at the end of the challenge, ArtStation will feature all of the submissions entered via the site in a special showcase.

Check out the challenge details below and get your entry posted by the deadline!

Challenge #8: ‘Room with a view’

It’s time to showcase your favorite spot. Let’s see what you’ve got!

All images for the entry must be rendered out at least 1920 x 1080 resolution and must be created using Twinmotion with a trial, education, or commercial license.

The deadline for entry is Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 11:59 PM GMT | 7:59 PM EDT, and the winning entry will receive a cash prize of $500 plus Epic Games swag. The top finalists will also receive Epic swag.

See below for important info on submission and rules.

Submissions

Photoshop and other post-production tools are not permitted for editing the image on this challenge; you can use as many of Twinmotion’s in-built tools as you like to create your scene. You can also import assets from third-party websites.

Make your submissions through social media, using the hashtag #TwinmotionChallenge in the accompanying text. There are several ways to enter:
  • Post the image in the Twinmotion Community Group on Facebook
  • Post the entry on your Twitter or LinkedIn account with the tag @Twinmotion
  • Post the image on your Instagram account with the tag @twinmotionofficial
  • Post the image on ArtStation with the hashtag #TwinmotionChallenge

Your entry can be posted to all these channels, if you wish—just be sure to include #TwinmotionChallenge in the text.

Rules

Check out the official rules for this challenge; they vary slightly each time. However, there’s one important rule that’s the same for every challenge:

The items in your render cannot include any trademarked branding or logos. For example, if a laptop appears in your image, it cannot have a visible brand logo—you can still feature the laptop in the scene, just be sure to not have any logos.

Unfortunately, we have to disqualify any image with such branding or logos from the competition. We don’t want this to happen to you, so be sure to strip out all logos and branding before posting your entry.

The rules for this challenge are also available in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (EU) (LATAM), and Turkish.

We look forward to seeing your entries for this Twinmotion Community Challenge. If you don’t have Twinmotion yet, you can download it here.
