About this plugin

The Datasmith Exporter plugin for Navisworks enables you to import entire scenes from Navisworks into Twinmotion, retaining hierarchy and organization.

Note:
  • Datasmith Exporter plugins are also used for Unreal Engine; if you have already installed the latest plugin from the Unreal Engine page, there's no need to reinstall for Twinmotion.

How to install

Before you install:
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Twinmotion installed; you can check this by opening the Epic Games launcher and going to the Twinmotion tab.
  • Close Navisworks if it is open.
  • Uninstall any previously installed Datasmith Exporter plugins for Navisworks
Installation:
  • Once the download completes, run the installer file and follow the instructions, including reading and agreeing to the end-user license agreement (EULA).
  • You can now open Navisworks and start using the plugin to export your scenes in uDatasmith format, and bring them into Twinmotion.
