What’s new in Twinmotion 2025.1.1

3D grass

For anyone needing to create luxurious lawns or rolling pastures, the highly requested addition of a 3D Grass material will be welcome news. Simply drag and drop the material onto any surface to populate it with a choice of five types of grasses (with more to come in the future). You can customize the scale, color, and fuzziness to get exactly the look you need. You can even mow the lawn—blades will be neatly cut, rather than simply reduced in height.

The grass accurately follows surface contours, and is regenerated every time you update your model. It includes an underlying soil layer, which will display when the angle of the surface is below a Spawn angle that you can control, yielding a truly natural pattern of growth.

Cloud-based configurators

Introduced in Twinmotion 2025.1, a new Configurations feature enables you to build interactive 3D presentations that showcase different variations of a project to your clients or stakeholders. With this release, you can now export these configurators to Twinmotion Cloud, and easily share them with anyone anywhere in the world.

Several other enhancements to the feature include the ability to use a mesh as a trigger—for example clicking on a door handle to open a door—as well as new support for storing different transformation states as variations.

NVIDIA DLSS 4 support

This release also brings support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, a revolutionary suite of neural rendering technologies that uses AI to boost frame rates, reduce latency, and improve image quality in over 100 games and creative applications.

DLSS 4 features include Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and, with the latest update, Multi Frame Generation. Support varies across the range of GeForce GPUs, including the latest GeForce RTX 50 Series. Learn more about NVIDIA DLSS and the NVIDIA Studio platform for creators.

And there’s more!

Twinmotion 2025.1.1 also features new navigation modes; 10 new clay materials; improvements to the modeling tools, transform panel, and Edit pivot tools; the ability to work in millimeters; and more. Take a look at the release notes to get more details on all the updates and enhancements.
