Managing Phasing Groups

Find out how to manage phasing groups.

The phasing groups that you create with the Phasing tool can be renamed, deleted, and duplicated. You can also rename, copy, paste, and delete the phases and tracks inside the phasing groups.

Phases on the timeline can be shortened or lengthened and also reorganized by dragging and dropping them to another position on the timeline.

The Phasing Menu

In the Phasing menu, you can Rename, Delete, and Duplicate phasing groups.

  1. In the Media dock, hover over the phasing thumbnail.

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) that appears above the phasing group.

  3. In the Phasing menu, select a command.

The Phase Menu

In the Phase menu, you can Rename, Copy, Paste, and Delete phases.

  1. In the Media dock, click on the phasing group.

  2. Hover over the phase and click the ellipsis (...) next to the name of the phase.

  3. In the Phase menu, select a command.

The Track Menu

In the Track menu, you can create new tracks and Copy, Paste, Rename, and Delete tracks.

  1. In the Media dock, click on the phasing group.

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) to the left of the track's name.

Changing the Length of Phases

  1. In the Media dock, click on the phasing group.

  2. Hover over a phase and position the cursor near one of the left or right edges of the phase.

  3. When the Stretch cursor appears, click and drag the edge of the phase and increase or decrease its length.

Organizing Phases

  1. In the Media dock, click on the phasing group.

  2. In the timeline, select a phase and drag and drop it to another position on the same track or on another track.
