Controlling Navigation Speed

See how to control the navigation speed.

Depending on the type of scene you are working in, you might want to select and use different speeds to navigate in the scene. For example, if the scene is inside a building, you can navigate slowly by using the Walk speed. If you are navigating over a landscape, you can move faster by selecting the Plane speed.

The table below shows the four available speed levels.

Adjusting the Navigation Speed

  1. Open the Eye menu by clicking the Eye icon at the top-right of the Viewport.

  2. In the Eye menu, select the Camera speed icon.

  3. In the Camera speed menu, select a speed.

    The speed you select is used for mouse and keyboard navigation.

Adjusting the Navigation Speed on the Fly

While you are navigating in a scene with the Move keys (WASD or QE), you can also change the navigation speed at the same time. You can select a specific speed, or boost the speed temporarily.
