Automotive and transportation designers have a challenging job—balancing performance, durability, and safety, while also incorporating the latest technical innovations. On top of that, they need to sell the vision and excitement of the vehicle through visualization and storytelling, all within a deadline.

This is why designer Lee Rosario uses Twinmotion as part of multiple stages in automotive and transportation design, from concept to final presentation. With its easy interface and ready-made libraries, Twinmotion enhances Lee’s workflow by freeing him up to focus on the technical and creative aspects of his work.

Lee discovered Twinmotion a few years ago, and was immediately impressed with how easy it was to incorporate it into his design and visualization processes. “There’s just so much that you can do with it out of the box, that it’s a phenomenal backbone to creating these presentations for concepts that don’t exist yet,” he says.

Lee finds Twinmotion to be a multi-faceted tool for sketching, visualization, and storytelling for automotive and transportation designs. He especially appreciates that he can drag and drop from Twinmotion’s libraries of people, furniture, and other objects to quickly put together a compelling story about a new vehicle, one that will swiftly get everyone on the same page.

This ease of use is key to keeping Lee both productive and creative at the same time. “When you’re on a roll and you’re trying to keep creative momentum going, building worlds quickly—the asset libraries that already came with it, the fact that Twinmotion lets you do that as quickly and as seamlessly as possible—I think is one of the best aspects of using it as a creative tool,” he says.

Lee also likes Twinmotion's ability to fit into circular processes that iterate through CAD, AI, and real-time rendering with Twinmotion multiple times to fully develop a design. He considers Twinmotion to be “a sketching tool as much as it can be a visualization tool, just as much as it can be a great storytelling tool, depending on the type of work and task that I'm trying to do within the concept,” he explains.

Ultimately, Lee appreciates that Twinmotion's flexibility lets him experiment with automotive and transportation designs while staying deep in his creative zone. “You have to allow yourself to explore that way,” he says. “I think the tools that you use are just as important as the process.”
