Twinmotion®2 - Real Time Rendering - Showcase - Success Stories

To meet exactly the crucial challenge of this global society, the Chaix & Morel agency chose Autodesk®’s most comprehensive architecture BIM software: Revit®. Twinmotion is naturally part of it!
With its proprietary plugin, Twinmotion offers the export of the model in two clicks and allows everyone to work in the most up to date version. This precise plug-in is the result of the successful development of the Twinmotion team as part of the Autodesk® Developer Network.

In 2008, Chaix & Morel won the consultation. Rémi Lichnerowicz, associate architect, recalls:
"We could not miss this contest. It was crucial to quickly produce interesting imagery and react quickly to customer’s wishes. By fostering this relationship based on trust, Twinmotion helped us win. Despite the large size of the project, we were literally ahead of the demand. "

Twinmotion allowed verifying the effect of light, the sun's path, drop shadows, all necessary components in the HEQ, at the design level of the building, using a 3D model...

In Auvergne, the country of volcanoes, the Michelin campus combines, based on their stock prices, the materials needed to manufacture tires. The composition changes provided that the quality remains constant, the way we assembled the best champagnes for centuries.

The Chaix & Morel and associates agency has devised a simple and multiple building commensurate with the complexity of its vocation. Twinmotion has contributed to its development and participated in its realization. The city like building adopts the form of a long interior street lined with varied and colorful volumes depending on their destination - lab, meeting, training, office.

Combining aesthetics and sustainability, a huge canopy covers everything, dotted with translucent solar panels that preserve against sun and cold. Another refinement: the test circuit track attached at the foot of the volcanoes in Auvergne passes under Urbalad, visible from a glass floor.

But Urbalad was nearly the victim of the crisis even he was supposed to parry. The project was suspended and did not resume until 2011. Chaix & Morel agency returned to work on the parametric software Autodesk® Revit®.

The agency then wanted to verify the proposals on an accurate and immediate model. Twinmotion accomplished that other stage of the project. The agency and the client had each the Twinmotion software installed, allowing unique flexibility and a double advantage:
Twinmotion immediately transposed the latest information received from Revit®, while offering its own ability to change data in real-time in the model. The dialogue has remained constant. This time, the model included even the smallest details, any plant that contributes to the HEQ efficiency and beauty. Only Twinmotion could be so easily integrated into such a chain of design and decision taking.

An extremely advanced technical tool, Revit ® carries up to gigabytes of architectural data.

With this amount of information and even with several Revit ® files merged together in Twinmotion, the software can embrace the project with great readability of all the volumes and allows travel in real-time.

On the foot hills of volcanoes in Auvergne, the test track next to Urbalad passes under its interior street, and is visible from the all glass floor.

Twinmotion renders vividly the depths and the multiple transparencies of this spectacular architectural sequence.

At nightfall, a sea of diodes covers the skin of Urbalad , just like images from the industrial era, without disturbing its aspect .

The fine immaterial beauty of this palette ranging from transparent to translucent is rendered perfectly.

Consider the spatial complexity of the sequence: a mid-height walkway, a spiral staircase turned upwards, one floor pierced in several areas by stairs and escalators, the fragmented architecture, the sunken gardens and the presence of the sun canopy that covers everything, in shade.

Luxury, peace clarity and flow ...Only Twinmotion could render the perception of those lanes as accurately, as explicit and as seductive.

What Revit® delivers from the vision of the architect, Twinmotion dresses quickly with its vast library.

With it, users can easily drag & drop objects and compose their environment. From this virtual assembly of materials, lights, furniture and vegetation emerges life.

In the street inside the building, the sun has a rendezvous with the moon.
